PAINT NZ is one of the select few paint contractors to be granted the status of a 'Resene EcoDecorator'. Sustainable decorating is more than just choosing an Environmental Choice approved paint. It is also making sure that it is applied in an environmentally responsible manner following sustainable principles. The Resene EcoDecorator programme has been designed to recognise a nationwide network of environmentally responsible, quality focused painting contractors. As one of the few painting contractors, we have chosen to undergo assessment by Resene through the EcoDecorator programme, which includes assessments of principles in practice, sustainable work practices, waste management, project plans and project sign off processes. Only contractors who successfully meet these standards can promote themselves as an authentic Resene EcoDecorator & we are proud to say Painting NZ can. We are an approved 'Resene EcoDecrator'.

PAINT NZ are proud to be members of Site Safe & we commend them & other organisations like them for proactively working with industry to increase the safety, knowledge & skill levels that ultimately lifts the total industry standards.

That's why all our staff are 'Site Safe Passport Holders' (or if new - awaiting the next available course) because we also recognise the importance & the benefits that come with working with good health & safety practices.  Through the 'Site Safe' training that all staff undertake & the clear guidelines laid out in our 'Health & Safety Manual' (put together with guidance from the NZ Master Painters Association) we actively partake in ongoing training & information sharing in these areas.  We believe good practice here is not only essential, but good business.

Stu Masson is a independently qualified 'Certified Coatings Inspector' with the 'Australiasian Corrosion Association' & more qualified than most in completing coating inspections.  When asked what that means, he simply replies, "it just means I know a lot about paint."  In past lives/positions, Stu has almost been a police man in the industry enforcing quality standards were delivered or achieved.  Due to the challenges of finding the required quality consistently, he saw an opportunity & started up his own paint contracting company.  Ask any of the staff though & they'll tell you, he's still the policeman when it comes to quality!  His qualifications & reputation demand it of him..... & he in turn demands it of his team.

Stu can also undertake various coating related inspections providing a full written report submitted as a qualified industry expert.  Yet another service from 'outside of the norm' from PAINT NZ.
